Dear Chieftains:
Christmas Break is right around the corner! This first semester is full of activities and we want everyone to be a part! Basketball has begun and you can still reserve your seat with Ms. Amber in the MS/HS Office @ 918-784-2133.
HOLIDATES: Wednesday, December 17 --> Christmas Lunch
Thursday, December 18 --> Movies & Santa
Friday, December 19 --> Christmas Program @ 1pm, MS & HS Semester Tests
Christmas Break --> December 20-January 4, 2026
We'll be putting together the 2026-2027 school calendar in January. If you have input on this, please feel free to reach out. There are requirements we have to follow per Legislation; but we do have some flexibility and appreciate your thoughts and requests.
Please reach out to me or our Board of Education members if you have any questions, concerns, encouraging words or just to visit! We're constantly working to provide a safe and educational environment for our students, staff and community! We're here to serve!

The Office of Accountability is reaching out to remind schools that if they have not already posted the link to the Oklahoma School Report Card: www.oklaschools.com on their school website that under the ESSA, beginning with information from the 2017-2018 school year, report cards must be posted annually on SEA and LEA websites. (ESEA section 1111(h) (1) (A), (B)(iii) and (h)(2)(A), (B)(iii)). At the core of the Oklahoma School Report Cards is the belief that all students can grow and all schools can improve. While no student report card tells the full story of a child, no school report card tells the full story of a school. Education is far more than a single score or letter grade, but it is important that families and communities can see both strengths and areas that need support and improvement.If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Accountability at (405) 522-5169 or accountability@sde.ok.gov. You may also contact the Bluejacket School administration regarding the school report card information.
Reminder: 24/7 Tobacco-Free Schools Act
House Bill 1685, also known as the 24/7 Tobacco-Free Schools Act, went into effect August 20, 2015. It requires that schools be tobacco-free 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This law prohibits the use of tobacco in any form while on school grounds and during any school-sponsored functions held off campus. Bluejacket Public School has been tobacco free since 2012. Please refrain from the use of any tobacco product, including vaping. Thank you!Reminder: 24/7 Tobacco-Free Schools Act
HB1046 (Requiring schools have audit info on front page of their website) went into effect on Nov. 1, 2021.

Chieftain Public Service Immunization Announcement:
"For school enrollment, a parent or guardian shall provide one of the following:
1. Current, up-to-date immunization records - can be accessed by going to the following OSIIS link ;
or
2. A completed and signed exemption form."
Required Immunizations link to the Oklahoma State Department of Health
All students of all grade levels have a required & current immunization record or a state approved exemption form on file with the school prior to their admission to school AND this information is made available to parents on the school website. 70 O.S. § 1210.191
