Superintendent's Notes

Sunday, January 2, 2022

Dear Chieftains:

2022 is officially here! We begin our 2nd semester Tuesday, January 4, 2022 bright and early! MS & HS Grade Cards and Transcripts will go out this week. Look for them from your student.

🏀 Basketball season is in full swing!! Check out the schedules and make plans to come and root on our Chieftains! We still have reserved seating available. Winter Homecoming & Senior Night is right around the corner. We're asking fans that if you know you've been exposed to Covid or have any kind of sickness, please do not come to public events. We want to keep the spread of Covid, Flu and any other bug out of our school and community!

Remember if you need a free Covid-19 test, they're available Mon-Fri from 7:30am-8:30am in the Supt. Office or by appointment. If you have questions, comments or concerns, always feel free to contact me. I'm here to help in any way possible! 918-784-2133 HS office or 918-784-2365 Supt. office

Sincerely,

Shellie Baker, BPS Superintendent

Accountability Update: Oklahoma School Report Card Dashboard

The Office of Accountability is reaching out to remind schools that if they have not already posted the link to the Oklahoma School Report Card: www.oklaschools.com on their school website that under the ESSA, beginning with information from the 2017-2018 school year, report cards must be posted annually on SEA and LEA websites. (ESEA section 1111(h) (1) (A), (B)(iii) and (h)(2)(A), (B)(iii)). At the core of the Oklahoma School Report Cards is the belief that all students can grow and all schools can improve. While no student report card tells the full story of a child, no school report card tells the full story of a school. Education is far more than a single score or letter grade, but it is important that families and communities can see both strengths and areas that need support and improvement. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Accountability at (405) 522-5169 or accountability@sde.ok.gov. You may also contact the Bluejacket School administration regarding the school report card information.

This law prohibits the use of tobacco in any form while on school grounds and during any school-sponsored functions held off campus. Bluejacket Public School has been tobacco free since 2012.
