This website explains in detail what your fourth grader is supposed to learn this year. These are all the standards they will be tested on in April, during state testing. The State Department is making these tests increasingly more important to your child's life. For example, many of these tests must be passed to graduate from high school, or to obtain a drivers license at 16, and some are required to even move on to the following grade! It is easier to pass the tests in high school if you are on track in grade school.
It is my responsibility to provide your child with the knowledge needed to pass these tests, as well as your child's responsibility to put out the effort to gain that knowledge. With a combination of effort from me, your child, and you, the parents, WE CAN DO THIS!
